On 29-30 January 2019, we participated in the annual conference on precision agriculture issues organized by Agrocom Polska Jerzy Koronczok in cooperation with CLAAS and 365FarmNet. The conference was held at the Center for Culture and Science of the Theological Faculty of the Opole University in Kamień Śląski.
This year, the organizers put a lot of emphasis on topics related to the possibilities of improving the use of nitrogen by plants (a lecture given by Prof. Malcolm J. Hawkesford – from the Rothamsted Research Institute, UK, the oldest agricultural institute in the world), very precise application of plant protection products, innovative solutions, biological control of corn borer and artificial intelligence in agriculture.
On behalf of Zakłady Azotowe in Chorzów, a lecture on the possibilities of increasing the efficiency of macro and micronutrient use from mineral fertilizers in relation to our new multi-component fertilizer line – AZOPLON – was given by Associate Prof. Marzena Brodowska from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.
We would like to thank the organizers for the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious conference, which was attended by farmers of some of the largest crops in Poland.
